Free modules, materials and an extensive glossary for parents and trainers.

The e-learning platform of our Erasmus+ project DEPART is online. At depart.erasmus.site, parents and professionals now have free and open access to learning material on digital skills, online safety and digital parenting. No registration and no payment are required: you pick your track and start.

The platform has two entrances. Parents follow three modules: information literacy and the use of online services, communication and collaboration online, and digital security for the family. The content is built around recognisable situations from everyday family life, from a suspicious message to the question of what you should and should not share about your children online.

Trainers, teachers and social workers find a methodological guide for each chapter, a worked-out workshop structure and additional trainer resources. Anyone who wants to run a session with a group of parents can therefore build it without designing everything from scratch.

The platform also offers educational videos and an extensive glossary of more than sixty terms, from phishing, smishing and deepfakes to passkeys, password managers, grooming, SIM swapping and parental control tools. Each term is explained in plain language, so that parents do not have to pretend they know the words their children use every day.

All materials are available under a Creative Commons BY-NC-SA licence and can be freely used and shared in schools, associations and parent groups. More information about the project is available at departproject.eu.
